One of my favorite events in town, Smaka på Stockholm (Taste of Stockholm), was held earlier this week. Over 25 restaurants run booths which serve up mini versions of their specialties, and the crowds are often shoulder-to-shoulder packed.

Småka på Stockholm (Taste of Stockholm) usually happens the first week in June, and restaurants all over town set up mini shops in Kungsträdgården, and sell mini versions of their regular menus. From fried fish and barbecue ribs to Thai food and Indian cuisine, there’s usually something there for every palate. One misconception though – prices are still relatively high despite their festival-like mini-plate presentations which people usually assume would be cheap.
