I recently visited a pretty cool cafe called Ruter Retro Café while in Northern Sweden. Located on an old military base in Boden, the café owned by Lena and Göran (portraits above) is chock-full of vintage memorabilia – from jukeboxes and old cameras to antique vanity sets and classic images from the 40s-60s.

I’m driving up to Northern Sweden today and tomorrow so I wanted to share scenes from one of my favorite relaxation spots up north – Storforsen - which has one of Europe’s largest whitewater rapids.
