My total foodie friend Sandra suggested we check out a small joint (Jin & Peeters) along Kungsholms Strand that served only three items on their minimalist menu – Dumplings, Rotisserie Chicken, and Belgian Waffles. Intrigued by the odd pairing of dumplings and chicken, we tried it out and were pleasantly surprised. That chicken – sliced right off the spit – tasted as juicy and succulent as it looks.

To escape crowds and get some fresh air, you can stroll along Söder Mälarstrand on secluded Monteliusvägen (Montelius road) with marvelous views of Lake Mälaren, Gamla stan, Riddarholmen and the City Hall on Kungsholmen. Despite ongoing construction in the area, you’ll still enjoy some of the best panoramic views of Stockholm.

I was driving over Västerbron early this morning, and just had to stop at Långholmen [map] to take some pictures. Warm water and cool air made steam fog over the water, it was amazingly beautiful. Sorry for the travel brochure view (which was exactly what this blog shouldn’t be), but I couldn’t resist…

Stockholm by bike

BikeStockholmFor me, bike is the best way to travel around Stockholm. It has so many advantages compared to other ways of transportation. Without my bike I’m half.
