While it may not be as atmospheric as Gamla stan’s own Christmas market, hanging around Stockholm’s center at Sergels torg still puts me in the holiday spirit.

A clear sign that Easter (Påsk) is around the corner are colorful feathers decorating any available twig or tree branch around town. You can read more about Sweden’s colorful Easter traditions here.





This is definitely the season for chowing down, and I was recently at a cookie-swap luncheon organized by the American Women’s Club held at the Rex Hotel. Lunch was prepared by Chef Kalle (pictured above, right), and for dessert, each lady brought cookies and cakes to swap with each other.
