Having driven across Högakustenbron (High Coast Bridge) numerous times before, this time around, we decided to stop for fika, stretch our legs once more, and walk around the grounds of Hotell Höga Kusten – a nearby conference center. The land around this UNESCO Heritage region along the Gulf of Bothnia continues to rise every year.

The scenic route runs along the Gulf of Bothnia and Baltic Sea, occasionally cutting through villages lined with Falu red cottages along the way.
