Snow has finally arrived in Stockholm, though it’s of the melt-in-two-days variety. Over the weekend, we visited friends in Dalarö, a Southeastern suburb of Stockholm, for a cozy fika complete with wood-burning fireplace to get into the winter spirit despite the thin layer of snow.
Sweden is currently enjoying some unexpected days of warm sunny rays and clear blue skies. No one seems to be complaining around here.
Summer can’t come soon enough, and we’d happily skip over Spring if it was possible. While I don’t own a boat – won’t even know what to do with it - I’d gladly go sailing if invited. So one warm summer day, I was out with friends. We set off from Dalarö and sailed through Stockholm’s archipelago (made up of 24,000 distinct islands); weaving past dark greenery, drifting for miles and hours on gently-rocking waves.
