Stockholm has a sizable Thai and Southeast Asian community; many of whom bring along their traditions, cultures, and religions. Though I consider myself a practicing Christian, I have friends who actively practice other religions. I was recently at one of my Thai friends for dinner and she invited me into her Buddhist prayer room.

This weekend, I got to explore the medieval town of Visby, a UNESCO World Heritage site on the island of Gotland. Will be sharing more photos from Visby this week. Also happened to be baby’s first Baltic ferry ride.

On any given day in Stockholm, there’s always some group protesting or championing a cause, and here are a few in Kungsträdgården protesting the production and use of nuclear power.

I ran into these youngsters in downtown Stockholm decked out in sombreros, woven shawls, and faux mustaches – their rendition of Mexican Mariachis. When I asked them what was up, they said they were filming a short movie.

Just like checking out your neighbor’s manicured lawn, it’s always interesting checking out how different boats docked along Skeppsholmen have been pimped out.
