Eating crepes off Torsgatan - Food Photography by Lola Akinmade Åkerström Eating crepes off Torsgatan - Food Photography by Lola Akinmade Åkerström Last week, I tried out a little French-inspired corner street restaurant called BYN Crêperie & Ciderie and dug into their spicy Chorizo crêpe for lunch. With winter (hopefully) around the corner, we’re moving fika life back indoors here in Stockholm.

Remnants of autumn yet no snow

Autumn - Photography by Lola Akinmade Åkerström Autumn - Photography by Lola Akinmade Åkerström Autumn - Photography by Lola Akinmade Åkerström Autumn - Photography by Lola Akinmade Åkerström The weather has been messing with us for weeks now. Temperatures are uncharacteristically warm for November and the leaves are almost gone. Yet no snow. No frost. Not that I’m complaining, but I’d really love to have some of that lush white coating of snow I’m beginning to love.

These photos were shot around 2:30pm overlooking the Lule älv (Lule River). At the height (or depth) of winter, places like Kiruna get 0-1 hr of sunlight per day and places a little bit south like Luleå get roughly 2-3 hours.

Autumn is definitely here in full force in Northern Sweden, bringing along with it chilly temperatures, lots of rain, and fog. Bundled up in layers, we decided to take a stroll around one of Luleå’s oldest parks - Gültzauudden.
