Lots of personal changes going on on this end, but I wanted to thank you all for loyally following my photo blog for the past year and for your thoughtful comments and interaction. I’ve loved sharing snippets of life in Sweden at ground level and will continue to do so again starting March 1st.
In the meantime, I’ll be taking the month of February off to prepare for a very special addition.

In honor of International Holocaust Remembrance Day on Jan 27, a light procession was held in memory of Raoul Wallenberg on the island of Lidingö (on which he was born). The procession went from the stadshus (city hall) to the city’s local park where a monument dedicated to Wallenberg is located.
Raoul Wallenberg was a Swedish diplomat whose courageous efforts during the Holocaust saved tens of thousands of Jews. Speeches were given by EU minister Birgitta Ohlsson and Lidingö’s commune chairman Paul Lindquist, as well as the US Ambassador to Sweden, Mark Brzezinski (last picture).

In preparation for Raoul Wallenberg Day tomorrow (celebrating one of Sweden’s true heros), I swung by an exhibit at Lidingö stadshus chronicling his life and impact on Swedish society. Will be sharing more about him in an upcoming post.

Real snow has finally arrived and everyone is now getting into winter hibernation mode, albeit a little late in the season. Drove around one of Stockholm’s islands to take in the cool crisp air and low-hanging sun.

… is a Swedish graphic designer and photographer living in Stockholm. She graduated from Central Saitn Martin´s College of Art & Design in London in 1998. She is the founder and owner of the design firm Neobrand. She mainly works within corporate identity design, but alsof inds the time for photography and other art and design related projects.
