The SI Alumni team is happy to announce that we have approved applications from 9 SI Alumni from Ethiopia, Georgia, Germany, Palestine, Russia, Turkey and Ukraine to attend the Gräv conference on Investigative Journalism on 20-21 March in Jönköping.

All applicants, both approved and declined, have been notified by e-mail this week. If you applied but have not yet heard back from us, please send us an e-mail.

This event is one of two SI Alumni Forums to be held in Sweden this spring, the other being a workshop on sustainability and leadership (currently open for applications, here). Within SI Alumni Forum the Swedish Institute offers SI Alumni from around the world the chance to attend seminars, conferences and workshops in Sweden relevant to their background and/or current occupation. SI Alumni Forums are also platforms for alumni to expand their networks and are often linked to NFGL events.

SI Alumni Forum: Invitation to workshop on sustainability and leadership

Within SI Alumni Forum, the Swedish Institute offers workshops, seminars and network events only and exclusively for SI Alumni, i.e. former SI scholarship holders.

The Swedish Institute invite SI Alumni to attend a two-day workshop 16-17 April in Karlskrona on the theme of sustainability, environment and leadership. The workshop will provide participants with increased knowledge of sustainability and environmental work in Sweden and will contain both theoretical and practical parts. The goal is for participants to acquire knowledge on how to practically work with these issues in different countries and different positions.

Corporate social responsibility based on environmental, societal and individual concerns is becoming increasingly important for companies worldwide. Customers, employees, owners and partners are also making higher demands on companies’ actions, transparency and reporting. In Sweden there are plenty of tools, good examples and experiences to learn from.

The workshop will be held by Kajsa Nylander who has many years of experience in planning, delivering and evaluating international projects and trainings. She also holds trainings for Swedish companies in sustainability, environment and leadership.

This workshop is offered exclusively to members of the NFGL and SI Alumni Network.

10 SI Alumni will be given the opportunity to attend the workshop. SI will provide for the travel arrangements to and from Karlskrona. Please note that any costs exceeding this offer, such as accommodation, visa costs etc. must be covered by yourself. Read more » >>
