The second SI Alumni Forum of 2016 is taking place in October 21 – 22, in Tbilisi, Georgia. The topic of this high profile event is Sustainable entrepreneurship and our aim to offer a platform for networking, development and inspiration for Sweden alumni across the globe.
Who can attend?
The event is open for all Sweden alumni, meaning everyone who studied or worked in Sweden. The Swedish Institute offers a limited amount of travel grants for alumni living in neighbouring countries to attend, if you are interested in this opportunity, please send in a motivation and CV once you register.
The event is organized by members of the alumni network in Georgia.
Seats are limited, so please make sure to register in time!

The SI Alumni Forum concept was launched as a pilot project in 2015. Belarus, Indonesia and Uganda were chosen for the pilot and three successful events on the theme of entrepreneurship were held during the year.
This year SI opens up for alumni from any country to apply to organise an SI Alumni Forum. One application will be approved, meaning that only one organising team will be given the opportunity to hold an SI Alumni Forum in 2016.

Dear Swedish Institute Alumni worldwide!
We are the team of the first Swedish Institute Alumni Forum (SIAF) on Entrepreneurship in Belarus (SIAF) and we would like to share our experience in the arrangement and conduction of the Forum. Unfortunately, we are not able to describe all the peculiarities, details and specifics of the Forum organization in one short blog article but we’d like to bring your attention to the most important parts.
Writing “we”, we mean the core of the team – 8 active participants: Ivan Tikota, Katsiaryna Syrayezhkina, Natalia Romeiko, Pavel Makhnach, Aleh Kliatsko, Aliaksei Kazlou, Maryna Barouka and Liudmila Fokeeva. We hope you’ve had a good start of the New Year! At SI we are preparing for all the activities coming up in 2016. We’d like to present an early rough plan to you of what activities and opportunities will be available for SI alumni during the coming year. Please note that the below is tentative and may be subject to change:

February: Call for applications to organise an SI Alumni Forum (for reference see events in Belarus, Indonesia and Uganda on the Alumni Blog)
February: Call for applications to be this year’s alumni speaker at the NFGL Diploma Ceremony in Stockholm, 27 May 2016
15 April: Call for applications to organise alumni events
28 April: Gender equality event in Malmö (spots for 10-15 alumni)
28 June – 1 July: International Society for Third-Sector Research (ISTR) Conference in Stockholm
August: Call for applications to organise alumni events (tentatively)
10-11 October: ICT/Innovation event in Luleå
8-10 December: Nobel Week Dialogue
