Sharing Sweden Marks 30 Years since the Murder of Olof Palme

On 28 February 1986, Sweden’s Prime Minister Olof Palme was murdered in the streets of central Stockholm. A steadfast advocate for human rights and democracy, Palme was renowned internationally as a supporter of peace and national self-determination.

Marking 30 years since his passing, Sharing Sweden and the The Olof Palme International Center have created five shareable images with famous quotes of his on the topics of democracy and human rights.

We honor this remarkable leader of Sweden, and hope you will share his words, which echo as strongly today as they did during his lifetime:
