Through a call for applications by SI, six alumni were granted funding to present at the International Society for Third-Sector Research’s 12th conference in Stockholm. Every year SI sponsors alumni to attend different events and conferences in order to support their professional development and strengthen their networks in their fields. We hope you’ve had a good start of the New Year! At SI we are preparing for all the activities coming up in 2016. We’d like to present an early rough plan to you of what activities and opportunities will be available for SI alumni during the coming year. Please note that the below is tentative and may be subject to change:

February: Call for applications to organise an SI Alumni Forum (for reference see events in Belarus, Indonesia and Uganda on the Alumni Blog)
February: Call for applications to be this year’s alumni speaker at the NFGL Diploma Ceremony in Stockholm, 27 May 2016
15 April: Call for applications to organise alumni events
28 April: Gender equality event in Malmö (spots for 10-15 alumni)
28 June – 1 July: International Society for Third-Sector Research (ISTR) Conference in Stockholm

8-10 December: Nobel Week Dialogue

Below you’ll find more information about the conference and how you can submit your abstract to participate.
ISTR is a major international association promoting research and education in the fields of civil society, philanthropy, and the non-profit sector. It is also a global community of scholars, policymakers, and third sector leaders dedicated to the creation, discussion, and advancement of knowledge pertaining to the third sector and its impact on civil society, the welfare state, and public policy.
An ISTR conference is held every two years in different cities around the world. The Twelfth International Conference of the ISTR will take place at Ersta Sköndal University College in Stockholm from 28 June – 1 July 2016. Read more » >>
