Alumni events were held in Beijing, Guangzhou and Shanghai last week as Swedish universities and Swedish Institute representatives were in China to attend the China Education Expo.
On 23 October more than 70 alumni from 18 Swedish universities attended a workshop on networking and career building at the Nordic Centre in Beijing. The event was organised by the Embassy of Sweden in Beijing with support from the Swedish Institute. Ms Emily Roblin, founder and Managing Partner of LEAP, engaged the alumni in a dynamic workshop that equipped the attendees with valuable networking skills and helped expand their social and professional networks. The alumni also got a little taste of Sweden as they were served Swedish-inspired sandwiches from Modo and delicious cinnamon buns baked by the Nordic Centre staff.
