TBILISI, GEORGIA, OCTOBER 21-22, 2016.
After a very successful event in Mexico City we turned our gaze to Caucasus and Tbilisi where the second SI Alumni Forum for 2016 was held. This two day event was organised by the SI Alumni Network Georgia and the theme was “Sustainable Entrepreneurship”. The very elaborate program included seminars and workshops led by prominent professionals from the field: practitioners, entrepreneurs, representatives of start-ups and social entrepreneurship, CSR-experts and Swedish companies that operate in Georgia.
We are proud to say that this event was truly regional – there were participants from Georgia, Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Ukraine, Moldova and Russia which created a unique opportunity for the guests to expand their networks across borders. It also lead to substantial discussions on current trends in the field of entrepreneurship, including such topics as social enterprise, innovations, start-ups and their eco-systems, business platforms in social media, marketing and raising investments.
The organizing team of the event included Giorgi Jamburia, Tamar Papavadze, Vazha Macharadze, Miranda Jamburia, Goga Kikilashvili and Tea Mkheidze. The Swedish Institute is overwhelmed by the power of our global alumni network and so grateful for all engaged volunteers that truly make a change in the world.
