Invitation: Workshop “Green Offices” in Minsk, 4 September 2014

Dear Swedish Institute Alumni and Scholarship Holders,

On September 4, 2014, we will hold a workshop Green Offices as a part of four SI alumni events in Minsk.

We cordially invite all SI alumni working in commercial companies in Belarus, as well as representatives of national and international businesses interested in green technologies, to participate in the workshop.

The agenda of the workshop includes a tour to the store equipped with efficient lighting by Philips Belarus Company and expert presentations, which will focus on ecological experience and green office technologies implemented by UNDP, British American Tobacco, Philips Belarus, European Union Projects, IPO “Ecoproject Partnership” and cover the following topics:

  • Greening your office
  • Practical examples of Office Spaces Green Lighting
  • Rational waste management in the office.

The presentations will be followed by a discussion and sharing experience on how to be more efficient in the office management without significant investments by following simple green rules.

The workshop will start on Thursday, September 4th, at 2 p.m. with the tour to the store 5Элемент, which is equipped with efficient lighting (here: address and map). Maxim Podkolzin, Lighting Manager, Philips Belarus, will be our guide.

The participants will then move to the building of the Faculty of International Relations of the Belarusian State University (Leningradskaya 20, Minsk, 5th floor, conference room 520, map) for expert presentations and the discussion. Snacks and coffee will be served.

The workshop Green Offices is organized by SI alumni Maryna Barouka and Liudmila Fakeyeva with the support of the Swedish Institute. The partners of the workshop are the Belarusian State University and the Association of European Business in Belarus. The event is arranged within European Intercultural Festival 2014. 

Seats are limited. Please confirm your participation before August 29, 2014. All registered participants will receive a full program a week before the workshop.
